Zapier lets you connect with thousands of the most popular apps, so you can automate your work and have more time for what matters most without having to write a single line of code.

Integration actions

The Zapier <> integration will enable you to -

  • Create requests in backlog from one of the connected apps on Zapier

  • Trigger a Zapier workflow when a request is created in your backlog

Here are some of the popular ways to use

In, we have updated the "Internal requests portal" to "Backlog" and have started calling "Internal requests" as "Requests"

These changes are reflected in our documentation and will soon be updated in our ZAP templates too.


To setup and Zapier integration, start creating any workflow on Zapier as per the instructions mentioned here.

To connect your workspace in Zapier, you would need to use the API key which is available in your workspace -> settings -> integrations

Once you have connected your workspace to your Zapier account, you can follow the on-screen instructions to setup the Zap.

Create request in from one of the apps on Zapier

The most popular way to use Zapier and is to enable your teams to easily create requests in your backlog.

Some popular ways to do this are -

  1. Bring your google form / survey monkey / typeform responses to backlog. Once in backlog, you can process them to take better product decisions

  2. Send your support tickets which contain product feedback, bug to be fixed or new feature idea to backlog directly from support tools like Zendesk / Freshdesk so that you easily involve your support team in building products for your customers.

Once you create requests in Backlog, your product team can take better decisions while defining and improving products for your customers.
